Top 1o reasons my nephew was telling his mom (i.e. my sis) about why he won’t be doing his writing exercise (he has to learn to write 1 to 5 before his classes begin – which I am not sure why) today.
- I just don’t feel like doing it
- I am tired
- I want to play now
- I want to go to school and write
- I don’t want to do it (with some tears in his eyes for more effect)
- I want to do it in a new note book
- I want to read now and not write
- I want to go out to the park
- I want my aunt (i.e. me ) to help me (I was working from home today and couldn’t spare the time for his writing exercises)
- I want to watch Ninja Hatori in TV
And this came up in a matter of 30 minutes. And at the end he ended up doing only 1 and started with 2 , but my sis lost her patience because he was too cranky to pay attention and postponed it for tomorrow. I couldn’t help but laugh at his excuses and totally bunked my work.
I am not sure why kids are made to learn during their vacation time. I feel so bad for them.
