Just a random thought:
I have this small bird which balances on its beak in a support rod . Actually, it was my brother’s. He got it in a small shop. But I liked it so much that I sort of snatched it from him. I tried getting one more but never found another like this. I like to watch it go in circles balancing on that small piece of beak. Even though it looks like it balances on that small part, the spread of the weight on its two wings (especially the edges where you can see a black part) and the center of the body is what makes it stick. It is sometimes that small spread of weight that matters a lot to create a balance.
“Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralyzed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings.”
