I have always wanted to take a close up of a Sunflower. We don’t get to see it unless we are driving somewhere where the fields are and can stop to take a shot. And we were lucky on Saturday on our way to Chitradurga. There were too many fields on the way and finally we stopped in one. And all of us had fun taking enough close up shots of the flowers there. It was a little windy and Sun was still behind the clouds. So all these flowers were hanging their heads down looking so sad and when we almost gave up, Sun shone bright (for a few minutes only) and slowly a few flowers lifted their heads a little , just a little towards the Sun. Here is one my favorites from the set.
“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. It’s what the sunflowers do.” – Hellen Keller
Great picture, and great quote by the inspiring Keller.

It was quite windy here too and we had to wait for it to slow down and the Sun to come out. We almost gave up, almost.

Beautiful shot! Interestingly, I was shooting sunflowers today also.

We don’t get the see them here much. So I was very excited to photograph them when the opportunity came.

My favorite sunflower picture is my little girl, at about one, pulling flowers off one. This, though – absolute loveliness. Glad you waited!

My little cutie is still adorable, but no longer little, at ten. At one, the sunflower was bigger than her head! =D
