WPC: Symbol

The weekly photography challenge theme is Symbol. We all have seen so many symbols by which we show our love. But today I am gonna show what shouldn’t be used as a symbol of love. Carving names on tourist places, especially archaeological sites. There is something called Sustainable and Responsible tourism, that every one of us should follow.

Im always sad when trees are carved up by tourists. I agree it is a symbol that reflects irresponsibility

Ugh, these! I don’t really know what they accomplish except scarring and marring the surroundings in which they’re carved.

I totally agree with you on this subject. It’s really a form of vandalism and criminal mischief, as far as I’m concerned, especially on public property, or even private property, for that matter. I even hate to see it on trees, living entities.

Anyway, I wanted to thank you for dropping by my Symbol challenge. I would have liked to have Liked your post but for some reason, I’m no longer able to Like anything. So, consider yourself Liked. 🙂

Thank you Cris. And yes, it is indeed a criminal mischief.
I am not sure why some bloggers are not able to like my posts 😦

A lot of the archaological sites here in Georgia are strewn with graffiti, lettters and hearts carved into stones…

That makes me so sad… They are marked archeological to safe guard their historical values.
