Light Saber!

For this week’s photo rehab entry, I thought I will play with my saber and some lights šŸ™‚
I got these stones from Fort Bragg’s Glass Beach, and the small saber/sword, whatever that is called, I got it in a restaurant (don’t remember which one) and is precisely the size of my index finger.

For the final image (taken with my Canon 60D), I planted the saber among the stones, lit up a candle for the background light and shot it and added a little effect in DPP.

Inspiration: The scene from the movie Minions (which we watched on Saturday) where in the minion Bob crashes into the mythical ‘Sword in the Stone’ and pulls the sword to defend himself šŸ™‚
What do you think?

      1. I have the same camera and I’m still learning. I should use it more than I do though. I actually dragged out the reference book last night and I think I’ll sit down with book and camera in hand and learn something else about it.

        1. Cool šŸ™‚ I recently installed the Camera Connect on my phone and tried the remote shooting facility using the Wifi on the camera. Worked really cool! I did try the double exposure once, but yet to figure out more uses for that.

          1. Nice. I’ve managed to set up burst mode in practice and had a run so I could see if it worked. Haven’t used it on anything but a test subject yet though.
