Totally abstract

I don’t understand anything which is very abstract, especially when it comes to arts. There have been very very rare times when I got what the artist is trying to portray. This is a moment where I did not. I clicked this in Madrid at the Palacio de Velázquez. My friend and I went in (the other two weren’t inclined to see any abstract art at that time so stayed back to rest in the shades) and we tried to understand some and finally gave up and came out.

If you figure out what this actually means or what this might represent, do let me know.

  1. Sigh. I’m with you. Until I saw the record player, I was reminded of the fun of jumping off a swing while it was at its highest spot. But who knows what was in the artist’s mind. Perhaps we don’t want to know 🙂

  2. Lot’s of good ideas here about the photo. I notice squares are a dominant shape. Maybe the old swing and old “record player” are for squares, as in “squaresville,” but I’m diggin’ it, even though I prefer circles. 😉
