K’lee & Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Up Close & Personal

At Fota Wildlife Park, Cork, Ireland, this section where an iguana was supposed to be there had an empty space along with the board mentioning that he/she has gone around the place exploring and that we might have to look out. We couldn’t find the iguana anywhere close by (it was a closed room with all other reptiles and insects in them). But on our way out, while I was checking out some butterflies, I saw something or someone hanging on to a branch and voila! there was the missing iguana. Not exploring, obviously ( :roll )

Once I took the above photograph, I couldn’t resist climbing a small rock there to get a close-up shot. I had to get the eyes up close. My friend thought that I would spook the iguana and he/she would move. But nope, he/she was happy lazing around and wasn’t clearly bothered by this lady and her camera(and I really admire that)

  1. Wonderful shot, thank you. That’s one chilled looking Iguana, he’s clearly not phased by having his portrait taken. Thank you so much for taking part, I’m glad you liked the challenge. See you again soon.

  2. Excellent shots, KG! If you can get this close to an iguana and it doesn’t move, you’re doing something right.
As Dale said, thanks for taking the challenge. It’s great you spotted us through Linda’s post. Hope to see you back for more!

    1. Thank you K’lee 🙂 I had to hold back my excitement of spotting him and alerting the kids looking around for him, until I got my photograph (a teeny bit selfish 😉 ) It was my pleasure to take part in this challenge. Will definitely be back for more.
