This week I wanted to do something different with respect to photo editing. So I tried the double exposure using Pixlr to create the effects for Silhouettes and Shadows.
This first photograph for Silhouette is a combination of a sunset photograph from Bali and a photograph from Brighton that I used in the Summer theme.
For the Shadow, I used two photographs taken during my trip to Munnar, using my phone and used the same double exposure technique to enhance the shadow with a flower foreground. Wanna join in? Here is how:
Create a post with ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’ in the title. This week, the prompt is : Shadows and Silhouettes. Post a photo to your blog, pingback to either Dale’s or K’lee’s post and don’t forget to add the tag #CosPhoChal to your post’s tags and you’re done!
They worked out nicely. Well done. The first is particularly convincing.

Thank you 🙂 I am not good with editing photographs. I get bored quickly. Thankfully I found two similar photographs after a couple of attempts and was done with it before I can call it quits.

Nice sunset, but I particularly like the second composite image. That’s album cover material, that one. Thanks for another great contribution.

Thank you, Dale 🙂 The second one was done after some contemplation if I really wanted to do one for Shadows or not. Glad that I did it.

Superb compositions, KG!
The first one was tricky — I’d to look at your Brighton picture and remember the Bali sunset to separate the two. Very well done.
And yeah, that second one can easily pass off as cover art! 🙂

Thank you so much, Anita 🙂 It does take a lot of effort, man. I was exhausted once I got these two done.

Haha, maybe one day you’ll be an expert and do this with your eyes closed. Until then, rest well between your edits. 😉

You always bring your ‘A game’, KG. I know Dale appreciates it as much as I do.
