K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: B&W Beach

During my recent trip to Chennai, I tried this long exposure shot in the beach. Since it was quite bright before the sunset, couldn’t use the bulb mode. So switched to Manual and tried it. Too many people around all the time. So had to pick up this small part where the two people on the left were static for some time (there is still one person who bought out that ghostly effect). Took that photograph and applied the b & w filter in Picasa and then applied the watercolor effect in Pixlr. Now it seems like some place from heaven?

I will let you be the judge of it 😉

Wanna join in? Here is how:

Create a post with ‘K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge’ in the title. This week, the prompt is : Landscapes in Black & White.
Post a photo to your blog, pingback to either Dale’s or K’lee’s post and don’t forget to add the tag #CosPhoChal to your post’s tags and that’s it!

I rather like the ghostly image.
In fact, I probably would have made sure there was plenty of movement, to take advantage of the effect. Coincidentally, I used a similar effect on my post.

I had a few of that effect but didn’t look when after edits, which I aint very good at. So stuck with this one 🙂

There is an eerie feel to it as if it is stuck somewhere in time.
