I am nothing w/o my pressure cooker

The first thing I packed when I was moving to the UK was my 5-liter pressure cooker 😉 Even during my first visit to London this year in May, I got a 1-litre cooker with me. I cannot cook anything without my pressure cookers. It makes life lot easier. Rice, Dal, vegetables…cooks in very few minutes. Saves gas and time. Now I am trying to get pots to go inside the cooker so that I can cook more than one at a time like cook both rice and dal at the same time. It isn’t as easy as I thought and the hunt for a stainless steel cooker pot is still on. We will be going shopping today and that is on my list.

Have a great Christmas y’all.

Post for this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “cook.” Find a word that means “cook,” (or use “cook” itself) and use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

  1. I’ve never used one KG. They are probably a good idea because I think they cook much faster. I’ve always been a little hesitant because they can blow up. (at a least that’s what I heard)

  2. The old cartoons always led me to believe that if you didn’t watch a pressure cooker, it’d explode. We used to cook potatoes and rutabaga in a pressure cooker, and they always turned out fine. If you know how to use one, they can save you a ton of time. Merry Christmas!

    1. Of course 🙂 I am so used to them that I can’t boil potatoes or rice well without them.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours, John 🙂
