I derive great satisfaction from being in a room full of books. I might not read all of them, but their mere existence brings me calm.
Not my living room, sadly, but a living room of a Bishop at Fulham Palace Wish my college library was as funky and cool (with a cafe) as this new Library at Oxford. We couldn’t visit the old Library because of the Graduation Ceremony.
The first one also makes me wonder if there’s a hidden room / passage behind it, accessible by gently tugging at one of the books. (Yeah I think I’ve been watching too many movies)
