The story of a Clock Tower

Ever since we moved to this flat, we would look out our window and see this view.

This is the view of a clock tower amidst the long buildings. It always intrigued us because we couldn’t place the location of the clock tower at all. I used my Zoom lens to capture this to see if there was any hint close by that would help us. Sadly, no. It remained a mystery to us for close to 4 months, until recently when I took out my tripod and Mr M’s binoculars and set it up. We had tried this earlier but the binocular being so heavy neither of us could hold it long enough to see anything clearly. With the help of the tripod, we could ensure that we had enough time to look at the clock tower. And lo, behold, Mr M found a small piece of information somewhere there by which he remembered the place very vaguely and also that the clock tower and the buildings were not attached to each other. We went on to Google Street view and took the bus route which he thought might lead us to the place and after 15-20 mins of street searching, we finally found our Clock Tower.
It is amazing how somethings in life can get you so interested and intrigued that you end up treating it like a puzzle. It was a bittersweet moment when we finally found out because even though we found the place out after so many days of effort, the mystery is all gone. We now have to find something else to keep us intrigued 😉
