Rumor has it…

When it comes to anger, which by the way is today’s theme for Song Lyric Sunday, for me, no one expresses it like Adele does. You can express your anger in so many ways, but to be subtle and mean is an art, which I can never perfect. So, I give you ‘Rumor has it’ by Adele, one of my ever favorites.

Lyrics from A-Z Lyrics

Owwwwh [repeats]

She, she ain’t real,
She ain’t gonna be able to love you like I will,
She is a stranger,
You and I have history,
Or don’t you remember?
Sure, she’s got it all,
But, baby, is that really what you want?

Bless your soul, you’ve got your head in the clouds,
You made a fool out of you,
And, boy, she’s bringing you down,
She made your heart melt,
But you’re cold to the core,
Now rumor has it she ain’t got your love anymore,

Rumor has it (rumor) [x8]

She is half your age,
But I’m guessing that’s the reason that you stayed,
I heard you’ve been missing me,
You’ve been telling people things you shouldn’t be,
Like when we creep out and she ain’t around,
Haven’t you heard the rumors?

(Bless your soul!)
Bless your soul, you’ve got your head in the clouds,
You made a fool out of me,
And, boy, you’re bringing me down,
You made my heart melt, yet I’m cold to the core,
But rumor has it I’m the one you’re leaving her for,

Rumor has it (rumor) [x8]

All of these words whispered in my ear,
Tell a story that I cannot bear to hear,
Just ’cause I said it, it don’t mean that I meant it,
People say crazy things,
Just ’cause I said it, don’t mean that I meant it,
Just ’cause you heard it,

Rumor has it (rumor) [x14]

But rumor has it he’s the one I’m leaving you for.

Posting it for this week’s Song Lyric Sunday.

Send My love – Amazing Cover

I hope they are able to feel their hands after that song 🙂 and glad that except for a few flies nothing or no one else bothered them! I half expected the dog in the background to come running at them thinking they are fighting and want to join in 😉

Give me light

This song doesn’t have an official version in YouTube or SoundCloud. There are many covers available. Liked this one in particular. You might have to listen to it from here if you wanna hear Adele sing it (took a while to find it but I refused to choose another song for today).

One of my very favorite songs from her latest album. I know this coincides with Valentine’s day and it might seem very appropriate and it probably might be too 😉 but nevertheless when can I ever say no to a very good Adele song heh? So here is Adele for you, as part of today’s Song Lyric Sunday, singing I miss you‘ from her latest album 25.

Lyrics from Direct Lyrics

[Adele]
I want every single piece of you
I want your heaven and your ocean’s too!
Treat me soft but touch me cruel
I want to teach you things you never knew

Bring the floor up to my knees
Let me fall into your gravity
And kiss me back to life to see
Your body standing over me

Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
(Down, down, down, down)

I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light
I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light

I love the way your body moves
Towards me from across the room
Brushing past my every groove
No one has me like you do
In your heart I bring my soul
But be delicate with my ego
I wanna step into your great unknown
With you and me setting the tone

Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Baby don’t let the lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
Lights go down, lights go down
Down, down, down, down

I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light
I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light

We place all love into the dark
‘Cause we are living worlds apart
It only makes it harder baby
It only makes it harder baby
Harder baby, harder baby

I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light
I miss you when the lights go out
It illuminates all of my doubts
Pull me in, hold me tight
Don’t let go, baby give me light

I miss you, I miss you…
I miss you, I miss you…
I miss you, I miss you…

Karaoke is the best way

I first saw James Corden and Adele’s Carpool on Steve’s blog post. I am a big fan of Adele but was truly floored by the way she did Wannabe song by Spice Girls and Nicki’s Monster. That was simply wow! I drive to work, whenever I work from office 😉 and it almost takes me 30-40 mins and while returning back, sometimes it takes around an hour, all that for just 4-5 km’s. So yeah, the only thing that keeps my sanity safe is the songs that I have loaded on my USB drive (and yes, my car does have a USB player, even though it does look old fashioned 😛 )

You should definitely see this video of their carpool. It’s so nice and brings a smile.

And I don’t carpool to work, but I have this habit of singing along with the songs, irrespective of how many people are there in my car. And I do sing quite loudly too and some actions do go along with it. My friends know better. I have always had a head or two turn and look at me, especially from people who use two wheelers and since the cars here are not supposed to have tinted glasses, it is quite clear to see what’s going on the inside. It is one way to pass my time in traffic here, if not I might start to scream at the stupid a-holes that these roads are filled with and that would never end well. So karaoke is the way to go while driving.

Let me fall…

In Adele’s latest album 25, there is a song called ‘I Miss You’ which is very mesmerizing to hear, especially with her voice. I fell in love with one particular line when I heard it the first time.

Let me fall into your gravity
Then kiss me back to life to see
Your body standing over me

One other such line which I loved when I heard it the first time was Taylor Swift’s ‘Darling, I am a nightmare dressed like a daydream!’ 🙂
