Cosmic Musicology Test: Hooray, It’s a holiday

Time for this week’s Cosmic Musicology Test from Steve and this times it’s about the holidays. So yeah, let’s play.

Christmas or New Year…?   Clinton Sparks – UV Love (Explicit) ft. T.I

Uh what? What kind of answer is this…Hmm.. Let me see.

I love both. What is not there to love. Even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I like the festivity spirit.  And I make sure I never work on New Year.

Halloween or Fireworks Night…? Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj – Bang Bang

Yeah, that is right. Bang Bang. I love fireworks, and it is that time of the year when all the cities in India get highly polluted by the fireworks. Diwali…yeah!!! Two days from now.

Summer or Winter…? Florida Georgia Line – Dirt

Hmm.. Dirt… Dirt means Summer right ? I dunno. I think I will assume that it is Summer and select that. And anyways, even though I love winters, they don’t particularly suit my health, sinus and all.

Bang Bang

Yesterday, I heard one too many songs starting with Bang Bang. And started wondering how many of them I know very well.

One of my favorite Bang Bang songs. I hate the David Guetta’s version for the record. And I just love that movie.

I heard this first in Great Gatsby movie, the DiCaprio one and it is one of the songs that gets played in my Zumba class as well with some cool steps and I really like it too.

One from the recent Tamil movie Anjaan (the movie was very pathetic for the record) but since I am listing the songs I know, I remembered this.

The latest addition by Jessie J , Ariana and Nicki Minaj which I heard yesterday for the first time. It was cool. I liked Jessie J the most in this.

If you know any other songs with the same title, let me know.

Bang Bang

If you are a fan of the Kill Bill series by Tarantino, like me, then you would have definitely heard the song ‘Bang Bang‘ (I kind of like Tarantino’s music in his films). But today when I saw the remixed version of it by David Guetta on TV, I was totally not impressed. In fact, I had to go back and hear the original song on YouTube to erase that remixed version from my ears. The only good thing about the remix thing was the video was different and good. I don’t mind remixes. Some are good enough to revive the interest in the original ones. And some are plain interesting than the original too. But this wasn’t one of them, at least for me. May be I am biased because this is associated with a movie I absolutely love and had actually memorized the song when I heard it first.
