Binge Saturday

I have been having this craving for pizza (thin crust, to be very very specific) for a week now. But since I am trying to watch what I eat, I tried so hard to curb that craving for a week. But today morning I had this weird dream that I am trying chocolate pizza (yes, that is part of the menu from Whooppeezz) and I find it a bit weird..because it wasn’t exactly not the way I expected it to be and then I am trying that thin crust pizza and am enjoying it. When I woke up, I decided that today was the day when I am going to get that damn thing out of my mind. So what did I order ? Tadaa….Veg Explotica thin crust pizza….

and in 10 mins there was no trace of it and I ended up being a very happy woman šŸ˜‰

So I decided to keep my happy feeling going and ended up subscribing to Netflix India and binge watched Stranger Things. I am not a fan of horror supernatural sci-fi movies/stories/series. But I have been hearing about this series for too long now. So thought to give it a try. I did manage to complete the season and I was OK with it. I think those cute kids in that series were the main reason. Now off to the rest of the other seriesĀ one by one. Thankfully, the subscription is free for a month. So I can enjoy it as much as I can and then decide if I want to continue or not.

All in the game, yo!

I have heard good reviews about this TV Series ‘The Wire’ but never got around to watching it. After a series of comments and replies from D F LovettĀ on his blog post and given that I really like ‘The Night Of’, the ongoing series (which is a rarity) I decided to take the plunge. I was hooked. So instead of completing my Cursed Child, I ended up binge watching the whole of The Wire Season 1. It was really gripping. Honestly, I haven’t watched any such police drama. Detective series are a different genre, according to me. So this was a new territory.

Idris Elba is so hot. I knew he was…but this is the first time I am watching him in a series. I liked Omar , played by Michael Williams too.Ā Irrespective of the line of work, be it police or IT , the politics that is played by the players are too similar. Sometimes you are left wondering ‘what the f**k did I do?’ just like McNulty šŸ˜‰ The screenplay was very impressive. It all ended very beautifully in a full circle, not entirely the way McNulty wanted it to end. I should say that I was kind of in a haze yesterday after doing a full day of The Wire on Sunday. And yesterday it was a full day shopping trip ( it wasn’t me who did the shopping yo! ) and by the end of it I couldn’t see the roads clearly while driving back. It is not a easy thing to actually get back to work today especially with tight deadlines with my head still reeling in all that happened in Season 1. But I got to do what I got to do. Just like Omar says at the end ofĀ the season, ‘It all in the game yo!, all in the game’.

Excuses, Excuses

“If only I had more time on my hand”. I have lost count of how many times I have used that excuse last week for not doing something that had to be done but didn’t end up doing it because I got my priorities mixed up and did something else instead. I hope that I don’t end up burning midnight oil at work, just because I was bored of the project and was slacking because I didn’t feel like working on it. Thank God I am an individual contributor and I still have quite some time left on my hands to get things done. I might have to stop that binge watching I have been doing on a regular basis (I finished Jesse Stone last week and also the new season of Endeavor) and get my work done instead. Well, I am off to work then.

Post for this week’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt.

Bingeing

Its been a while since I did some binge watching. I have been doing just that this weekend with the series ‘Death in Paradise‘. One of my close friend suggested that and now I can’t enough of it. Quirky, humorous, funny and its a Ā British-French crimeĀ drama series. What is not to like šŸ™‚ And since tomorrow is also a holiday for us (Republic Day) I get more time for some more episodes šŸ˜›

Is it still called binge watching if you like watching a particular music video song again and again. Found this song this weekend and I ended up choreographing this song usingĀ salsaĀ steps for theĀ Zumba class. And it was fun. The song does have Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande and Who is Fancy , all three are quite good individually and just imagine what they would do if they got together… Well, they do talk about ‘boys like you’
