Get, Set…

The gifts are ready, rental car booked, camera ready…all set for my weekend trip to visit my nieces and nephew in Chennai. My siblings are coming to take part in their friend’s wedding reception there. So I might miss out on my weekend posts starting with the Friday photography challenge, SoCS and Song lyric Sunday. But will come back on Monday and check them out.

It’s been a while since I have been to Chennai. There was a time when I used to do quick trips from Hyderabad to Chennai for interviews. After that time, the only other stop I made was as a layover on my way to other places like Singapore/Pondicherry. Looks like there might be some rain there, which I wouldn’t mind given that it is 28 degrees C and kind of hot in Bangalore for a winter. Hopefully there will be time for us to enjoy the beaches there in between the rains. And I am also looking forward to surprise my nieces since they don’t know that I will be there too. And I know that my mom would get me her Diwali sweets supply. Yum, yum 🙂

Everything’s changing

There was a time in my life when I really did feel like I was stuck. All I wanted to get away. But from what, to where, I had no idea. All I knew was that my life felt like a bag of frozen peas. No change what so ever. Exactly like what this songs talks about. I finally made the jump last year and ever since there have been so many changes in my life. As part of that change, I am off again to another place this year for my two week vacation. My other vacations were only for ‘my’ R & R but this one is a little bit different. It is part of the change and is very important to me on many levels. I have got to move on. Wish me luck 😉

In search of some mist

Since we have a long weekend, we three friends decided to make a trip to a hill station to see if we can enjoy some chill weather and maybe lose ourselves amongst the mist, which will be in total contrast to the unbearable heat we are experiencing now in Bangalore. Out of WP

I am currently on a short break travelling to a very hot place with the hope that we would not end up dead because of a heat stroke (OK, that was a bit exaggerated…but it does happen in other places, you know), with no access (or very limited depending on the WiFi availability) to emails and WP (I might be able to respond to comments through my phone).  I will not be able to participate in this weeks SoCS, weekly photography challenge (might come back and see if I want to do it) and Song Lyric Sunday.  I will be back by this weekend and will catch up on the  blogosphere. Offline for the Weekend
