Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.”

Good Day

It was a Good Day when I landed on my feet correctly without breaking my ankle (again) after a very fun filled Sky dive 🙂

When you want a picture of a favorite place to come exactly the way you want it ? That is indeed a good day.

And when you keep your alarm so early to catch that glimpse of Sunrise and it turns out to be so awesome that all you do is sit back , put your feet up and enjoy it… That was indeed a very good day!

SL-WEEK 8 : On the Road

I am still getting back to my usual self after a hectic weekend (will tell you about it later…a little bit emotional it was). Haven’t been able to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge or the SoCS which I usually do over the weekend. But since I am back today, thought I will post my photography for Sylvain’s Weekly Challenge at least. This week his theme is ‘On the Road

Saw this in Windsor, California, while on my way to Fort Bragg. Stopped here for a quick lunch and liked the small town. Did a walk around and clicked a few using my phone. Isn’t the Jaded Toad cute 😉 ? 1-IMG_20150517_135901699

Butterfly on the road

PS: Saw this in San Mateo, CA, on a pavement.

World Photo Day!

August 19th is considered World Photo Day! (And we are already on 19th in this part of the world) According to the site, here is what World Photo Day might mean to individuals.

World Photo Day for Individuals

Celebrating World Photo Day doesn’t have to be a big affair. Each year, many photographers choose to take time out to reflect on what they love about photography. Some choose to stay in and learn new post techniques whist others adventure out to capture that elusive photograph. You can even celebrate photography on your morning walk as you ponder what the world would look like without photography.

So instead of trying to come up with my own explanation, which I am not very good at, I thought I would rather use an existing quote. Happy World Photo Day to all 🙂 and Happy Clicking!

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place…I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
― Elliott Erwitt
