K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: B&W Beach

During my recent trip to Chennai, I tried this long exposure shot in the beach. Since it was quite bright before the sunset, couldn’t use the bulb mode. So switched to Manual and tried it. Too many people around all the time. So had to pick up this small part where the two people on the left were static for some time (there is still one person who bought out that ghostly effect). Took that photograph and applied the b & w filter in Picasa and then applied the watercolor effect in Pixlr. Now it seems like some place from heaven?

I will let you be the judge of it 😉

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Reflections

For this week’s Cosmic Photography Challenge theme, I am using two photographs taken in a mall during the December of 2014. I have processed them using Picasa and have tried to give a different vibe to it.reflection1reflection2

Monday Blues

I am not a big fan of Monday, ever. I can’t show you how moody I become on a Monday. Anyways, since we have a holiday tomorrow (for Vijayadasami festival) I am feeling bright eyed today 😉 inspite of being a Monday. So for this weeks Cosmic Photo Challenge, I decided to use the photograph of my brand new ‘very bright’ blue shoes that I bought for the Chinnar trekking. I am not the one to go for such bright colors in anything. But I picked this one for a change. They are really very very blue. I photomania-d it and made it look like I am inside the water. I like that it (shoes) matched with my very blue jeans and the whole vibe of the photograph also turned out to be bluish.

OK, yeah I cheated a bit there 😉 The original photograph looks like this

It was taken in one of the shops at Covent Garden. When I took the photograph, making sure that my reflection doesn’t spoil the image, I knew I would have to work on it a bit to achieve what I wanted this photograph to convey. I liked the effect (a bit of twiddling using Pixlr, of course) What do you think? 😀

K’lee and Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge

This week I wanted to do something different with respect to photo editing. So I tried the double exposure using Pixlr to create the effects for Silhouettes and Shadows.
This first photograph for Silhouette is a combination of a sunset photograph from Bali and a photograph from Brighton that I used in the Summer theme.

For the Shadow, I used two photographs taken during my trip to Munnar, using my phone and used the same double exposure technique to enhance the shadow with a flower foreground. shadows2.jpgWanna join in? Here is how:
