Longest Place Name

I was so glad that I got a chance to visit this cute little village.

Staycation!?

Until recently, I did not know that there existed a word called “Staycation“.

staycation
steɪˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/

noun

informal
  1. a holiday spent in one’s home country than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.

I learnt it at the school. Everyone (almost) have plans to go somewhere the day the school term ends. Names of places (mostly countries) were exchanged among the teachers and students. When some of us said that we weren’t going anywhere out of this country for this break, we were told that we were having a staycation instead of a vacation. I hope they are calling the holidays spent in a different part of the home country as vacation instead of staycation. If it is not, then it is rather rude.

Spending the holidays at home enjoying and not travelling long distance could be called a staycation. I am OK with that…(which is what I might be doing this term break) Staycation or vacation, I am planning to enjoy the break with some fun and learning and lots of much-needed rest. Oh! The Game of Thrones is gonna be there to give me company…Yay!!!

Merry Christmas 🎄

Out of Vacation

I am officially back from my vacation but unofficially? not even close. I am in my vacation-lag phase. Spent a week in Ireland, near Cork and other places. Still have got to do my write up done. Will get there eventually. But as usual, here are some of my photographs, in installments of course.

The first place we had been to was Fota Wildlife Park in Cork. It is situated on an island and it’s such a vast place it took us almost close to 3.5 hours to get around. Saw a lot of kids having their day over there. It was lots of fun. A very well maintained place and lots of space for the animals to move around too. Had to choose 10 photographs from the huge set. I had a field day that day. Went crazy clicking photographs 🙂

In search of some mist

Since we have a long weekend, we three friends decided to make a trip to a hill station to see if we can enjoy some chill weather and maybe lose ourselves amongst the mist, which will be in total contrast to the unbearable heat we are experiencing now in Bangalore. Will be back in three days with loads of photographs. Until next week, ciao! Happy Blogging and Be Safe!
