Waiting…

For this week’s Song Lyric Sunday, I am gonna go with an EDM number by Avicii which I love mainly for the lyrics. Especially one part of the lyrics, which includes the days of the week. Have a listen to it.

Lyrics: From A-Z Lyrics

“Waiting For Love”
(with Martin Garrix & John Legend)

Where there’s a will, there’s a way, kind of beautiful
And every night has its day, so magical
And if there’s love in this life, there’s no obstacle
That can’t be defeated

For every tyrant a tear for the vulnerable
In every lost soul the bones of a miracle
For every dreamer a dream we’re unstoppable
With something to believe in

Monday left me broken
Tuesday I was through with hoping
Wednesday my empty arms were open
Thursday waiting for love, waiting for love
Thank the stars it’s Friday
I’m burning like a fire gone wild on Saturday
Guess I won’t be coming to church on Sunday
I’ll be waiting for love, waiting for love
To come around

We are one of a kind irreplaceable
How did I get so blind and so cynical
If there’s love in this life we’re unstoppable
No! we can’t be defeated

Monday left me broken
Tuesday I was through with hoping
Wednesday my empty arms were open
Thursday waiting for love, waiting for love
Thank the stars it’s Friday
I’m burning like a fire gone wild on Saturday
Guess I won’t be coming to church on Sunday
I’ll be waiting for love, waiting for love
To come around

Artist , Lyrics and just the Piano

I love songs with good beats, bass , treble , whatever , as long as it is peppy and keeps me pumped up. Because I need it most of the time while working or driving. Slow and melodies tend to alter my mood to sad or romantic or melancholic or sappy etc. So I don’t take chances with them while I need some energy. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like them. There are times, when I find myself listening to them to soothe myself. Recently when I saw John Legend’s ‘All of me‘ in his Grammy performance, I was left wondering how I really like the songs which features the artist(s) with just the piano alone, where their voices are the highlight and the piano gives them the perfect background score and just with┬áthe music, the words and their voice , they take you places (wow, did I just write that long line ? I am sure grammatically that will be the stupidest one) . I remember getting goosebumps on my skin and tears in my eyes, when I watched Adele performing ‘Someone like you‘. The other two video’s which fall into the same category and which I really like are ‘When I was your Man‘ by Bruno Mars and ‘Say Something‘ by A Great Big World.

I was listening to ‘All of me’ in my playlist which actually prompted this post.
