There was light

Komorebi…. a word I finally found out for my obsession to see the light filtering through the trees. I am always fascinated by it. Always. I took this photograph when I went to my Zumba class on last Saturday morning and it was taken in a park near by. I was so happy to see the sun shine bright after a couple of gloomy rainy days. Since I am not that good with words, I am gonna go with the following quote and submit this post as my first entry to Nature Chills Challenge.

In the post ‘Wald in ….what ?‘ there was a mention of word for the light effect through trees.

Komorebi (Japanese) ‘The sort of scattered, dappled light effect that happens when sunlight shines in through trees’

Here is a photograph that sort of aligns with that word which I found while browsing through my old photographs.

This was taken in Muir Woods during my first visit to U.S. Now when I look back at these photographs, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is what comes to my mind and I wonder if I missed seeing any of the apes jumping between the trees by any chance 😉 I should check it out next time I visit.
