WPC: Achievement

For this week’s photography challenge: Achievement

a) Doing my first river rafting in Kolad, Pune during a recent week long vacation. I just loved it (and guess what I got into the water , of course with the life jacket and all after so much fuss and enjoyed it too, even though I sprained my neck trying to keep my head above the water)

b) During my Spain trip this year, I finally got around my fear of going on my own (an after effect of my last year’s injuries) to the 34th level of the Seville Cathedral (without stairs and without physical and emotional support) and loved the view from there. I almost gave up after 20th level, but then decided to get going and get it done. For me that was really an achievement.

c) And finally got the first photo book of  my 2013 European tour printed. I had wanted to get one done for a long time, but this year I did it and was so happy to receive it.

It has arrived

Finally, the book I had printed with the pictures of my European Holiday, the one I had posted about earlier, has arrived safely. I was so so happy to receive it yesterday from my friend who just returned. I am not sure if the older link still works. But here is the new one which was printed. According to my friend who read and reviewed it page by page, there were lot of grammatical mistakes (as I had expected and I did feel bad about it) but as a general consensus I got the feedback that the photos especially the monochrome ones looked real good in print. The other feedback received was that the color photographs looked half-toned. And the font, the one that I had chosen did not look that great in print. I had received that comment in that post and I had modified it but for some reason that wasn’t uploaded correctly. I wonder why. Since it is just a 20 page material, I chose two pictures from each of the 10 places I visited last year to make it a concise memoir. Moreover I really really wanted to see how it would work in printed book format, because I have an idea and wanted to know if it is feasible. Yippee!!! I am so glad. This is how it looks like in print.  I almost felt like giving thanks to mother EarthIMG_2821 IMG_2819 IMG_2820
