Mischief Managed

After close to two months of solid effort and losing some of his precious hair, Mr M finally completed his Christmas gift jigsaw puzzle, Marauders Map. It was hard work but it was fun to watch it take shape. I wish I could have it framed but it is too big, sadly.

Well done, Mr M. Mischief managed.

I knew it…

I knew Mr M won’t be long before he finished this puzzle.

When I came back from India, it was all done and ready. Close to two and a half to three weeks is what it took him. He is on a jigsaw-hiatus now. This one was difficult and very tiring for him, from what I could see, but it came out very well and I am very impressed. I don’t have the patience for this kind of puzzles. If only there was a way to exchange these jigsaw puzzles for new ones, just like they have for the books in some tube stations here in London, it would really help us.

Puzzled Mysteryย

Mr. M is a big fan of Jigsaw Puzzles. If you want to keep him engaged this is the best way to go. I used to do that to my nieces and nephew ๐Ÿ˜‰ given that they are a big fan of it too, except for my nephew, because he would instruct you to do it and would keep an eye out for your mistakes. So during one of our shopping visit to Sainsbury’s we saw this Jigsaw puzzle which was interesting. You have a picture on the box. But that is not what you build from the puzzle pieces. You build the next sequence in the story. And it was for 5 pounds. Definitely a very good bargain. Since Mr. M was already working on a Jigsaw at that time, I promised that this will be his Easter gift (we bought that in February) and promptly hid the box.

So the day of the Easter he started working on it without any delay.

I am worried that he is gonna finish it in a week or two, even though he claims that so far he has just managed to get the base ready and the rest of it would be the difficult part. Let’s see how long this one lasts.

Another Puzzle Solved

Since the earlier jigsaw puzzle was a hit with Mr. M and he wanted a more complex one, I bought him as his New Year Gift a 1000 piece puzzle. He was a very happy man ๐Ÿ˜‰ Almost close to the end of a month, he finished it yesterday successfully and was a much happier man ๐Ÿ˜€ Here is the progress of the same.

He is already aiming for the third. But since too much of anything is not good, I told him that he won’t be using the third one (which is already bought and shelved and is a much trickier and tougher one amongst the three) Instead, I have got him another surprising gift which also involves puzzles, but of a more intellectual nature. And I hope that I can join in that too.

Raining cats and dogs

My husband got this 250 piece puzzle as his Christmas gift.  He was at it for the past two days and today he completed it by afternoon.  It was interesting and I did my best from time to time by inserting a piece here and there ๐Ÿ˜‰ I made a gif out of the photos I took during the progress of the puzzle.
