Red moon effect

This image is one of my favorites taken in Goa, of the St Augustine ruins. I liked how the tree formed a natural frame for that ruined building.

I haven’t done much on editing an image for quite some time (haven’t done much of anything for sometime now) so I thought, why not do this as part of my submission to the PhotoRehab participation. So I took the above image, added some tint and focus change using good ol’ Picasa to get a Red Moon effect to make it more eerie. Was I successful?

WPC: Descent

My simple interpretations for this week’s photography challenge theme: Descent
a) On our descend to St Joan’s Point in Montserrat, Spain

b) Since I have a slight fear of heights, I didn’t try descending to the edges of the fort’s walls in Sinhagad Fort, Pune, India. But my friends did go till the edge of it.

3) And finally, a funicular’s descent in Montjuïc, Spain

WPC: Endurance

For this week’s photography challenge: Endurance

My father’s guitar notes from his guitar playing days (around mid 1960’s), which has endured the movement of cities, of houses, of places , of hands and still it survives with some fray’s. And I think it will also be apt to say that the song that is listed ‘Whistling Jack’ or ‘Per Qualche Dollaro in Piú‘ has also endured the test of times in the music world and is still one of the best instrumentals I have ever heard. IMG_2802

The Golkonda Fort, built around 945 CE-970 CE has endured many wars and still the steps and the minars are accessible and used to climb to the watch tower.

And finally, the Leaning tower of Pisa, built in 1173 AD and still standing may be not exactly straight, but still tall after enduring the test of times and troubles.
