Weird search terms

I don’t have many searches that lead to my blog posts according to my status page. Except for a handful of them, the prominent being my Baralikadu EcoTourism spot in my home town which gets searches in Tamil so it always shows as encrypted search terms, the rest are for songs mostly. But recently ever since I blogged about that ‘Beer Shampoo‘ (yuck!!!) I am getting search terms related to that too. But today I found a weird search. ‘Bear Shampoo’ – For the record I did not use anything like that. Hell, I don’t even know if there is any thing like it. Isn’t it illegal ? Nope, not in this blog. Irrespective of the fact that I am a vegetarian, I wouldn’t even out of utmost curiosity try something like a bear shampoo even if it was advertised. Not my thing.

The second is a little better than the first one. Among the superheroes, I like batman. And the only way he flies , as far as I know, is using his batmobile. So there is nothing to learn there (except may be to operate that vehicle). Other than that I guess all other superheroes (the ones I know of) didn’t learn to fly, it is part of their superpower isn’t. So I did not blog about it at all. But, I did blog about the song ‘Superheroes‘ by ‘The Script’ which I guess is the culprit. I feel really bad for those people to check out my posts just to see it ain’t that interesting at all. OK, the beer shampoo can be a little interesting if you like the smell of beer on someone’s hair, but definitely not the bear shampoo, that’s for sure.

Now that I have blogged about these search terms, next time some one searches for it, there will be two posts listed for the same term is it ?

Islands I never knew – Thanks to Stats

One of the interesting things of checking out the ‘Stat’s page of WordPress, apart from the views, visitors and the count is the ‘Countries’. My eyes always go there first to check if there is a country which is unknown to me. I know that when people use proxy’s (like me, when I am at work) it would always show a different country from the one they are actually browsing. So there is no definite way to figure out anything based on the country data. It is still a piece of information. Once in a while I get to see a few new countries which haven’t been in the list till then. Out of the lot, so far, there have been two countries which I did not even know existed.  Not that I knew about the rest in depth. But at least I had heard their names somewhere sometime, so they weren’t alien to me.

a) Guernsey: A wee island in the English Channel and not part of the European Union.

b) Réunion: A French island in the Indian Ocean and part of the European Union.

For the visitors and viewers from these two islands, I am glad that you made the visit in turn letting me learn about your country. Are there any countries in your ‘Stats’ that you found interesting or you didn’t know they existed ?
