sometimes it’s too late

This week’s theme for Song Lyric Sunday is forgiveness. Have you ever felt that it is the most difficult thing to do rather than saying Thank You to someone? Sorry is a difficult word, but Forgiveness is a difficult feeling. Not everyone deserves it but unless we find a way to forgive them we would be carrying the burden of that with us for a very long time. And still, even though it is in our better interests to forgive and forget, it is not as easy as it sounds. Does everyone who apologizes be forgiven? Not necessarily. Sometimes we are just humans. And that is OK.

Here is the first song that came to my mind when I read this week’s theme. Clearly, this person wasn’t getting any forgiveness from the person singing it.

Lyrics from A-Z lyrics

I’m holdin’ on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground.
And I’m hearin’ what you say,
But I just can’t make a sound.
You tell me that you need me,
Then you go and cut me down.
But wait.
You tell me that you’re sorry,
Didn’t think I’d turn around.
And say.

That it’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.
I said it’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.
Too late, oh uh (x2)

I’d take another chance,
Take a fall, take a shot for you.
I need you like a heart needs a beat,
But it’s nothin’ new, yeah!
I loved you with a fire red,
Now it’s turnin’ blue.
And you say.
Sorry, like an angel
Heaven let me think was you.
But I’m afraid.

It’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.
I said it’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.
Whoa!

It’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.
I said it’s too late to apologize.
It’s too late.

I said it’s too late to apologize, yeah!
I said it’s too late to apologize, yeah!
I’m holdin’ on your rope,
Got me ten feet off the ground.

Freeze you out

It’s been close to a month since I posted anything for Song Lyric Sunday. It was because I hardly posted anything on a Sunday ever since I moved. It is one of those days when you have to get your bearings back and get ready for the next week.
One of the important things that I had to do when I moved to London was to get accustomed to the cold weather here. Thank God, I had my thermals. It is slightly better today, with constant drizzle and yet the temperature close to 9 degrees. But still, it can freeze you out. And that is why today’s song for this week’s song lyric Sunday from me will be ‘Freeze You Out’ by Sia, which featured in ‘The Huntsman’ movie.

Hope you enjoy the song as much as I do.

Lyrics from a Blogspot post

[Verse 1]
You know I’ve been hurt before
Yeah, you know the score and I know you want more
You want me to thaw out
But you know I get ice cold, I get cold
When you don’t go slow, but I know you want more
You need me to thaw out

[Pre-Chorus]
And I know you were worth it
And I know this could work if
I could only let you in
But I’m freezing

[Chorus]
I’m not running away
I’m not running away
I will feel the pain and stay
I’m not running again
I’m not running again
Even though I’m scared, baby
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
I’m gonna let you in
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
My heart is melting

[Verse 2]
So here’s my heart for you to hold
Feel it beat, feel the warm blood flow through my cold
Feel it thaw out
Yeah, I’ve felt the fear but I push through
It’s so worth loving you, you wanted more
And so I thawed out

[Pre-Chorus]
And I know you were worth it
And I know this could work if
I could only let you in
But I was freezing

[Chorus]
I’m not running away
I’m not running away
I will feel the pain and stay
I’m not running again
I’m not running again
Even though I’m scared, baby
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
I’m gonna let you in
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
My heart is melting

[Bridge]
I won’t freeze you out, my heart is melting
I won’t freeze you out, my heart is melting

[Chorus]
I’m not running away
I’m not running away
I will feel the pain and stay
I’m not running again
I’m not running again
Even though I’m scared, baby
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
I’m gonna let you in
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
My heart is melting
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
I’m gonna let you in
And I won’t freeze you out
Like I have been
I won’t freeze you out
My heart is melting

Just Feel

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.-Albert Schweitzer

I am sure every one of us had felt that. I am grateful to a lot of people who have always helped me out every time I needed a word,or a gesture, with or without their knowledge. I think this song could be appropriate for my current situation because I have waited for this change that is going to come. It does bring a lot of mixed feelings but I am looking forward to it (will tell you all about it later), let myself feel whatever I want to feel and let Picasso to take the wheel 😉

Here is, Bulletproof Picasso by Train, for this week’s Song Lyric Sunday.

Lyrics from A-Z Lyrics

Am I made of paper?
Cause I tear so easily
Am I made of vapor?
Because I disappear
Do I have to have a reason
For anything I feel
Just be glad I’m real
Glad I’m real
Am I real?

Are you made of lead paint?
A bulletproof Picasso
All the virgin saints
Put you here to care for me
I don’t need a reason
For anything I feel
Just be glad I say what I mean
And mean what I say to you

We don’t need a reason
For anything we feel
We don’t need a reason
Picasso’s at the wheel
So roll that top down, hell with this town
Leave our bags behind
We don’t need a reason
Cause I got you, and you got me tonight

(Cause I got you, and you got me tonight)

Did you ever see the waves break
Into a million pieces
Or stay awake
With someone who was dying
You don’t need to tell me
Anything at all
I’m just glad you’re here
Glad you’re real
Are you real?

Am I made of timber?
Cause I’m on fire
Will you remember
Tonight for very long
You don’t need to sell me
On anything at all
Just say what you mean
And mean what you say to me

We don’t need a reason
For anything we feel
We don’t need a reason
Picasso’s at the wheel
So roll that top down, hell with this town
Leave our bags behind
We don’t need a reason
Cause I got you, and you got me tonight

Amber waves of grain
Fly by highway lanes
Waited for this change
Seems like my entire life
If only the good die young
We’ll outlast everyone
For some of the things we’ve done
And we’ve just begun

We don’t need a reason
For anything we feel
We don’t need a reason
Picasso’s at the wheel
So roll that top down, hell with this town
Leave our bags behind
We don’t need a reason
Cause I got you, and you got me tonight

Woah-oh oh
Oh-oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh

You got me tonight
You got me tonight
You got me
Tonight

Not this time

Happy Halloween everyone! Even though I find it a little weird that you would celebrate a day scaring and getting scared, I wish you all the luck in your endeavor 😉

I don’t know know any song which screams scary, even though I know songs where they scream a lot. And I wasn’t sure if songs like ‘Bring me to Life‘ actually falls in to this category (Halloweeny and scary). But I felt that it was too intense, so am not gonna use that song this time. And I am sure someone else will  😉 So decided to go with a light hearted version. This is one of my favorites and my friend’s  too. Apart from dressing up and doing a dance off there is nothing scary about this song, unless you think their make up is. Enjoy ‘No Money’ from Galantis.

Lyrics from A-Z Lyrics

Sorry I ain’t got no money I’m not trying to be funny but I left it all at home today
You can call me what you wanna I ain’t giving you a dollar this time I ain’t gonna run away
You might knock me down, you might knock me down, but I will get back up again
You can call it how you wanna I ain’t giving you a dollar this time I ain’t gonna run away (run away, run away)

This time, this time, this time
This time I ain’t gonna run, run, run, run
Not this time, not this time
This time I ain’t gonna run, run, run, run
Not this time, not this time
Not this time, not this time (time)

Sorry I ain’t got no money I’m not trying to be funny but I left it all at home today
You can call me what you wanna I ain’t giving you a dollar this time I ain’t gonna run away
You might knock me down, you might knock me down, but I will get back up again
You can call it how you wanna I ain’t giving you a dollar this time I ain’t gonna run away, run away, run away

This time, this time
This time, this time I ain’t gonna run, run, run, run…
Not this time, not this time
This time I ain’t gonna run, run, run, run
Not this time, not this time
Not this time, not this time
Not this time

Posting it for this week’s Song Lyric Sunday.
So, our theme for Song Lyric Sunday is to post a scary song. I don’t necessarily want it to be stereotypical of Halloween, but I do want to be creeped out either by the lyrics, the music and/or the title. So, go explore, my friends and we’ll start Halloween off early this year!

I’m perfectly incomplete

Almost 70% of my playlist consists of songs which are quite upbeat and good beats and lyrics to which you can sing along. I use music to keep myself alert and awake 😉 Since I can listen to songs and do other tasks too, like driving, cooking, coding, etc. etc. etc. I make sure to listen to peppy numbers. When my mood is a bit dark, the same goes but may be more aggressively positive numbers would be played like ‘What doesn’t kill you’, ‘Brave’ etc. Since I have already posted those numbers on other occasions I will go with one among the huge list of songs I listen to. You will figure out why I use this song if you follow the lyrics and it is very hard to not like Jessie J 🙂 Aren’t we all work in progress?

Lyrics from A-Z Lyrics

So much pressure
Why so loud?
If you don’t like my sound
You can turn it down

I got a road
And I walk it alone

Uphill battle
I look good when I climb
I’m ferocious, precocious
I get braggadocious

I’m not gonna stop
I like the view from the top (yeah)

You talk that blah blah, that la la, that rah rah sh*t
And I’m so done, I’m so over it
Sometimes I mess up, I f*$% up, I hit and miss
But I’m OK, I’m cool with it

I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can’t colour inside the lines
‘Cause I’m perfectly incomplete
I’m still working on my masterpiece
And I, I wanna hang with the greats
Got a way to go, but it’s worth the wait
No, you haven’t seen the best of me
I’m still working on my masterpiece

Oh, oh
Oh, ah
Oh, oh
Oh, ah

Those who mind don’t matter
Those who matter, don’t mind
If you don’t catch what I’m throwing
Then I’ll leave you behind

Gone in a flash
And I ain’t living like that

They talk that blah blah, that la la, that rah rah sh*t
Roll with the punches, and take the hits
Sometimes I mess up, I f*$% up, I swing and miss
But it’s OK, I’m cool with it

I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can’t colour inside the lines
‘Cause I’m perfectly incomplete
I’m still working on my masterpiece
And I, I wanna hang with the greats
Got a way to go, but it’s worth the wait
No, you haven’t seen the best of me
I’m still working on my masterpiece

Oh, oh
Oh, ah
Oh, oh
Oh, ah

I still fall on my face sometimes
And I can’t colour inside the lines
‘Cause I’m perfectly incomplete
I’m still working on my masterpiece
Masterpiece, masterpiece (yeah)

I still fall on my face sometimes (still fall)
And I can’t colour inside the lines (inside the lines)
‘Cause I’m perfectly incomplete (perfectly incomplete)
I’m still working on my masterpiece (on my masterpiece)
And I, I wanna hang with the greats (oh, with the greats)
Got a way to go, but it’s worth the wait, no (wait, no)
You haven’t seen the best of me (b-b-best of me)
I’m still working on my masterpiece (I’m still working on my masterpiece)

Oh, oh (yeah)
Oh, ah (hey)
Oh, oh (still working on, still working on)
Oh, ah (still working on my masterpiece)
