What happens when you party on a Saturday night with friends until you could say Good Morning to Sunday? You wake up panicking at 7.30 am that your alarm for some reason did not ring (which is set for weekdays to ring at 6 am, 6.30 am and 7 am – don’t ask my why three…it is what it is) and that you will fall behind your schedule for the day which is fully packed already and wondering why your maid hasn’t turned up yet! It took me a solid 15 mins to get my bearings right and when I realized it was still Sunday I promptly did what a sane person should do. I went back to sleep to get up at 9.30 am šŸ˜‰

My kind of Sunday

My stupid heart!

I recently got to know about this prompt that Helen conducts and its called Song Lyric Sunday, where you share your favorite song with its lyrics.

I share my favorite songs weekly through Tuesday Tunes, but then I hardly post the full lyrics to it. And there isĀ nothing like too much music. So I decided to take part in her weekly prompt. If you like music and like to sing along, then you should probably join too.

As my first entry, I would like to post my new favorite song ‘My Stupid Heart’ by Shawn Mullins. I heard the song through some recommended link in YouTube and fell in love with it. I haven’t heard of this singer so far (just like so many others I don’t know…so if you are a fan of this singer, please forgive me!) But this song tugs my heart. But unfortunately, I couldn’t find the lyrics online. So I decided to write it as and when the song was being played. I have heard this song enough to actually know it by heart. So without further delay, here is the song and the lyrics… Enjoy!

Lyrics: (since I wrote it while the song was playing , didn’t bother with the upper and lower cases, just went with the flow and let me know if you see any corrections)

my stupid heart
is what i blame
when the arrow flies
with perfect aim
it don’t work out
like i thought it would
my stupid heart
still thinks it could

my stupid heart
believes the lies
the poets tell
surprise surprise

good love goes bad
falls apart
oh so sad
my stupid hea…rt

my stupid heart
can be so cruel
the way it plays me for a fool
it never learns
you think i would’ve known
my stupid heart
is kind of slo….w

my stupid heart
it plays for keeps
through hoops of fire
it bounds and leaps
its all for love
right from the start
that’s how itĀ ends
my stupid hea…rt

my stupid….
my stupid heart
my stupid….
my stupid heart
my stupid….hea…rt

The Wire

I know I wrote all about the adventure and all just recently when I watched the movie ‘The Everest’, so I ain’t going to be writing more about it. But today, since I was feeling like it, I decide to masturdate (wait…..read that word slowly and carefully…don’t jump to conclusions…this word is different , yeah! ? OK, now let’s go ahead)

The one movie which I wanted to see but haven’t yet was ‘The Walk‘. You all know my fear of heights right. So obviously I wanted to watch this in IMAX 3D. And do it on my own šŸ™‚ Booked the ticket an hour and a half before the movieĀ and just went before I could change my mind and take complete advantage of Sunday Funday. I should say that I enjoyed it very much, even though I did sweat a lot even in that air conditioned theater. Some scenes where they show the heights and the depth, I felt a pain in my legs as if I was the one standing on that edge. The guy Jeff, who has the fear of heights, whenever he is shaking with fear, I can feel myself shaking too. Jeez. Since you can read all about it in WikipediaĀ (even though I would suggest to watch the movie just for the fun of it) I ain’t going to the story. But technically it was very well done. I don’t appreciate watching movies in 3D because I get headaches mostly after using thoseĀ glasses and most of the movies don’t usually need a 3D and they do it just for the heck of it. But this one definitely needed to be in IMAX and 3D. It was truly amazing. The visuals were so amazing and stunning. I especially loved the sunrise (duh!) Ā It might bring back memories for people who have seen the Twin Towers during those times. The art direction was also good. I wonder how much of the jugglery that Joseph Gordon does were graphics. I loved those earlier scenes where the scene is in B & W but one part of it (like the apple or a fruit) is in color. Ben Kingsley! Yay!!! Been a while since I saw him šŸ™‚ Charlotte is as cute as ever. Acting wise, everyone has done their part. I am not good with the physics of how this was done and whether it was possible or anything. But if that was a true story then it is freaking amazing. I bow for Mr Petit’s bravery. The scene where the wire is shown as if it is going into oblivion was so AMAZING. I was so mesmerized.

Glad that I watched it before it was taken off from IMAX. Truly enjoyed it, even though I had to close my eyes and peek through my fingers in some scenes (shhhhh….don’t tell anyone yeah!?)

Fun at ABC

Had been to Arbor Brewing Company (ABC) for a Sunday Lunch with friends.

Am not a beer person, but the different kinds of beer that were available thereĀ were nice.IMG_6852

Had a bottoms up competition with a friend and I chose an Irish Stout for that. He choose two Bangalore Bliss beers to my one Irish Stout. I did win the second round šŸ˜‰ (Never choose an Irish Stout for any competition…too bitter to push it down that fast.. I was glad that I didn’t snort it back out)

First time playing Foosball and even though didn’t win butĀ still had way too much fun. Never thought I had a violent streak in me
