Pinhole Paddy

I just logged into WordPress to post this photograph and I see two Untitled posts with empty contents posted. Don’t know how that happened. I have to look at that soon.

Took this a week or two ago while I was playing around with my pinhole lens. It was a gorgeous day just like today and the Sun was bright. It gave me a lot to work on with a pinhole lens. And Paddy, being the cute toy that he is, was happy to pose 😉

Yellow

Just this evening I published a post related to Yellow as part of my A-Z Book List series. And when I checked for Sylvain’s theme for this week, it also said ‘Yellow‘ color. Why not huh? I looked around and found this fellow lying on my office table. This belongs to my nephew, who has cars in all colors. He left this one behind when he was here last year and asked me to keep it safe for him 🙂 What lies on my office desk will lie there forever. My desk isn’t too messy, but messy enough for my mother to give me a stink eye. Now that my nephew is gonna visit me next month during his vacations I am glad that this teeny tiny fellow survived the year at my desk (and did not go into hiding in one of the innumerable place in my house)

Come come Barbie

Last weekend I had been to my niece’s birthday. She is turning 6 and I wanted to be there for that milestone 🙂

And for some reason, that I cannot fathom, she wanted a Barbie doll cake (just like her sister’s last year) (groans). So she got herself a huge Barbie doll cake. I should say it looked very good and tasted amazing too. Inside it was Butterscotch, but outer layer was all cream (and too sugary)

She also got a variety of gifts and mine was obviously related to learning sentences 😉 The one with Moghli (from Jungle Book) is a carom board on one side and various snake and ladder games on the other. It was too cool. After the cake cutting we all sat down for a game of carom (while the birthday girl rummaged her Barbie gift pack) and then joined us for some snake and ladder games.

I don’t know what she wished for, but I wished that she overcomes her crazy Barbie admiration by next year. I wonder how and from where she got the love for all things Barbie!

Valentine Week Gift List – What!!!???

When I shared a photograph of two teddy bears belonging to my nieces on Instagram, little did I know that I coincidentally posted them on “Happy Teddy Day”.  One of the days where you share a cute teddy bear with your loved one as part of the Valentine Week Gift list.  Really???  On Twitter too, I saw a new search term “liketwoteddies”.  Good Lord!  How come I haven’t heard of this before?? In case you want more details on this to take advantage of ;),  here it is.  I am not responsible for any expenses you might incur because of this article and for the record,  even though this is quite funny and a little bit cute,  I think it is too much.
