Missing photographs

In the early days of my blogging in WP, I had used high res photographs which took up all of my free space. I ended up buying 10GB for 20$ a year to keep them up. I don’t think that to be a wise option anymore. So I stopped the renewal this year and have deleted those (as much as I could) photographs from my media library in order to allow me to upload low-res photographs. That means there would be some very old posts that would have missing photographs in them. I might have to do some cleanup of those posts, but I don’t have the time and energy at this moment to do it. I might do some over the long Christmas break if I am inclined to do so.

I am also trying to take a backup of this website. I have been here since 2013 and there are so many posts to download. I started the download yesterday and I am sure it will take me another whole day and a half to get that done. Changes are imminent, but when is the question. Until then, I am going to take one day at a time and do what I can do.

Milestones, Changes, A Quote

Hi there! It has been a while (close to two weeks) since I have written anything, except for those odd photograph posts once in a while. In the meantime, it looks like I have crossed the 2000 followers mark in WordPress and 100 followers mark in Instagram 😉 That is Awesome! and a huge THANK YOU! and to all those new followers, Welcome! and I do hope you enjoy your time here in this small part of the blogosphere.

These two weeks, I have been volunteering as a teaching assistant in a Primary School here in London and this school is quite far away from home. It has been a while since I got up at 5.30 am on a weekday other than to catch a flight or receive someone coming by a flight. The early wake-up, the hour and a half long train and bus ride, a whole 6 hours of school work and hour and a half long bus and train ride back home left me exhausted and tired and I still had to get some of my other work done too. Wasn’t an easy week, but still I managed to achieve a lot in terms of pending official and personal work. But my blogging took a hit. I could have blogged during my train ride, but I am not a great fan of typing on my phone, irrespective of how fancy & convenient it is. I like the typing sounds of my laptop. Mr. M keeps making fun of my tick-tick-tick keyboard sounds, thanks to my fast typing mode 😉 but I enjoy that.

I am looking to switching my career to teaching and hence this volunteering to see if I can and to ensure that I don’t regret it later. But these two weeks of spending time with Year 3 students (the same age as my first niece) I am sure I can do it and it would be fun too 😉 I should ensure that I don’t get too emotional and attached to the kids, though. That is something I have to remind myself daily when I eventually take up that profession.

I am yet to check out a lot of blog posts from these past two weeks but hopefully will get there eventually. Until then

I never thought I will say this in my life, but ‘Happy Monday’ 😉 and Happy Blogging you all!

Thank you!

Got this notification today. 4 years already? Wonder how the time just flies by. And just in time for Thanksgiving weekend 😉

I take this opportunity to thank each and everyone who have been with me on this wonderful journey, who have inspired me,  who have taught me, who have supported and encouraged me and who have visited my site and left a mark in the way of comments/likes/visits. Like any journey, I have made friends here, missed people when they left the blogosphere, shared quips and jokes and what not 🙂 I am glad to be here at this moment and hope to be here for some more time.

Thank you! You are all a Star! Happy Blogging!

What next?!?!

Another friend of mine recently joined Word Press and I am so glad to welcome her to this wonderful blogging Community. We used to do Zumba together but it’s been more than 6 months I have done any Zumba at all. Want to join us 😉 ?

What next?!?! This is a constant question in my head. Whether it be my daily routine, my next meal, my next holiday or simply the urge to learn more n more.

It’s easy to get caught in the rut of corporate life. Simple. You get up, look ur best, get to work, do ur best at work, get back n hit the bed. Day in and out. When it comes to the weekend, you want to catch up on lost sleep over the week or complete errands you have been procrastinating during the week or like me just laze around doing NOTHING! This was how it was for me for a long long time. I convinced myself that my life was packed(doing NOTHING of course) and always had an excuse to do nothing more.

Till one day, it hit me that am capable of so much more than whiling away…
