Packed in two sentences

In Quora today I saw a question

“What is the saddest story you can come up with in two sentences?“

There were lot of answers to it, but here are some which I really really liked. I am not sure if they belonged to the author or if they told some one else’s story but they were beautiful nonetheless.

Lisa Kathryn Perry : Mama, I’m hungry. I know sweetheart, maybe tomorrow.

 

Sarah Rae Works : She couldn’t breathe the air because she knew he was breathing it too. It was time she stopped sharing, so she gave this last gift away.

 

Anonymous: He was wide awake in the middle of the night. It was not the presence of his thoughts that was bothering him; it was their absence.
