Coming Home

The prompt for this week’s Song Lyrics Sunday reminded me of this song and I couldn’t help but share and leave it at that.

Lyrics from A-Z Lyrics

And the blood will dry
Underneath my nails
And the wind will rise up
To fill my sails

So you can doubt
And you can hate
But I know
No matter what it takes

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming

Still far away
From where I belong
But it’s always darkest
Before the dawn

So you can doubt
And you can hate
But I know
No matter what it takes

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming

I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world that I’m coming home
Let the rain
Wash away
All the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits
And they’ve forgiven my mistakes
I’m coming home
I’m coming home
Tell the world I’m coming home

Posting it for this week’s Song Lyric Sunday.
Our theme for Song Lyric Sunday is to post a song about home, whatever that might mean for you. (Is it weird that all my themes have to do with my own life? Or is that pretty normal?)

  1. I must have heard a remix of this song with rap (I tried looking it up, but I couldn’t find it.) It had more rap than snippets of this song, but I loved this part so much. I had no idea it was a full song. It is simply breathtaking and it made me cry. Thank you so much for sharing it! I’m really loving her voice a lot! ❤
