Posted for Sylvain’s theme of this week, Ecology.
I don’t know if it counts if we post pictures of places where eco-tourism is promoted. This is one such place in Siem Reap. It is called Kompong Phluk, where the mangroove forests are submerged in the water from the Tonle Sap lake (which is quite huge). This also has the famous floating village and it takes a boat ride of almost 20 mins to reach them. You can go inside these forests in the small boats (which we didn’t do because we were getting late for our sunset over Tonle Sap). I had one doubt though. If they were really trying to promote eco tourism they shouldn’t be using motor boats to get to these places, should they ? Of course they don’t use it for a tour of these mangroove forests, its only until here and to the lake they use it, but still …
Nice photo for the challenge And it counts for sure

Good point about the motors. I guess it might be easy to get lost in there?
